- Grant Thornton Advisors LLC is the US-based tax and advisory arm of Grant Thornton, operating in an alternative practice structure alongside Grant Thornton LLP, the licensed CPA firm that provides attest services. - Founded in 1924, it is the US member of the Grant Thornton International Ltd network and ranks among the largest US audit, tax and advisory platforms by revenue, with offices across the country. - In May 2024, an investor group led by New Mountain Capital with CDPQ and OA Private Capital as minority investors completed a majority growth investment in the firm, at the time the largest private equity transaction in the US accounting profession. - Since January 2025, Grant Thornton Advisors has pursued an aggressive multinational platform strategy, acquiring Grant Thornton member firms across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and Asia-Pacific (including Ireland, the UAE, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the Cayman Islands, the Channel Islands, Switzerland/Liechtenstein, France, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Puerto Rico, Brazil and New Zealand), alongside specialist US firms Auxis and Stax. - The Denmark transaction brought the platform to 18 firms worldwide, ten of them in Europe. - New Mountain Capital is a New York–based growth-oriented investment firm with roughly $55bn in assets under management; Simpson Thacher has advised Grant Thornton Advisors and New Mountain on every transaction in the platform build.

- King Salman Park Foundation is developing a Riyadh project that is positioned as one of the largest residential-led platforms in the Middle East, tied to Saudi Vision 2030 and described as one of the largest urban park projects globally. - The arrangement covers the development and construction of two mixed-use development districts in Riyadh with an aggregate value of about USD 3.8 billion; Package 4 is valued at more than USD 850 million and Package 5 at about USD 3 billion. - Package 5 alone will span more than 400,000 sqm and include about 3,700 residential units, around 300 hotels, a K-12 school, more than 100,000 sqm of Grade A office space, plus retail and dining, underscoring the project's scale and mixed-use strategy.

- Parex Resources is one of the largest independent oil and gas companies in Colombia, and the acquisition expands its position in Colombian upstream production. - The deal is a cash acquisition of Frontera's Colombian E&P business for up to USD 525 million; Parex later raised US$500 million of 8.50% five-year notes, with the proceeds earmarked for the purchase. - Closing is targeted for Q2 2026, subject to customary conditions, and the perimeter includes all of Frontera's Colombian upstream business plus a reverse osmosis water treatment facility and a palm oil plantation.

- Gibson Dunn represented Gyre Therapeutics, Inc. in its definitive agreement to acquire Cullgen Inc. in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $300 million, announced on March 3, 2026. - Under the terms of the agreement, Cullgen will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Gyre, and the transaction is expected to close early in the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals in the United States. - The acquisition will combine Gyre’s commercial-stage fibrosis business with Cullgen’s targeted protein degradation and degrader-antibody conjugate platform, creating a fully integrated biopharmaceutical company with U.S.- and China-based capabilities across discovery, manufacturing, and commercialization.

- Kirkland & Ellis LLP represented the acquiring consortium led by Global Infrastructure Partners, a part of BlackRock, and the EQT Infrastructure VI fund, together with co-underwriters California Public Employees’ Retirement System and Qatar Investment Authority, in its definitive agreement to acquire AES for $15.00 per share in cash. The transaction values AES at a total equity value of $10.7 billion and an enterprise value of approximately $33.4 billion, including the assumption of existing debt. - The transaction was unanimously approved by AES’ board of directors and is expected to close in late 2026 or early 2027, subject to AES stockholder approval, the receipt of applicable federal, state and foreign regulatory approvals, and other customary closing conditions. - Through the acquisition, AES is expected to expand its leadership as a clean energy platform across the Americas. AES is the largest supplier of clean energy to corporations globally and has signed agreements for 11.8 GW of power supply to major technology firms.
